Scan2Lead portfolio - Which product is the right one for me?

Scan2Lead offers exhibitors a customised selection of products for digital visitor registration at the trade fair stand. The products can be booked individually or in combination. But which product is best suited to which situation? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each solution? Find out when it is best to use which Scan2Lead product!

SCAN2LEAD SMART - APP FOR SCANNING BARCODES AND BUSINESS CARDS

With the Scan2Lead SMART app, you can use your smartphone or tablet (iOS / Android) to capture your visitors' contact data. Scan2Lead offers you the most comprehensive range of functions of all Scan2Lead products.

You can scan the barcodes on the visitor tickets and receive the data that the visitor entered during registration. If the visitor does not have their badge to hand, you can also scan their business card. The data is also transcribed and the business card is attached to the contact as a photo.

The scanned data is displayed directly and saved in the online portal in real time. You can therefore immediately see all the data you receive and can edit and expand it.

Scan2Lead SMART is particularly suitable for stand personnel with intensive customer contact, as the visitor data can be further processed in a variety of ways and in detail. In addition to a smartphone or tablet that fulfils the necessary requirements, an internet connection is important for using the Scan2Lead SMART app. Although the app can also be used offline for a short period of time (the data is saved and displayed as soon as an internet connection is re-established), it is not suitable for permanent offline operation.

A Scan2Lead licence must be purchased for each device with which the Scan2Lead SMART app is to be used. The number of licences required therefore depends on the number of stand employees who are to record visitors in parallel with Scan2Lead SMART. If an employee leaves the trade fair during the term, it is possible to transfer the licence to a new device. If you book 5 licences or more, you will receive a discount. If employees are not to download the app to their personal phones or if several employees are to use Scan2Lead SMART with one device, we recommend using one or more tablets that can be issued to stand personnel. If you do not have your own tablets available, you can usually also book rental tablets directly from Scan2Lead.

SCAN2LEAD COLLECT – MOBILE LEAD TRACKER

With Scan2Lead COLLECT, you scan the barcodes on the visitor tickets using a small, mobile scanner that is about the size of a car key. You don't need your own device or an internet connection.

The visitor data is captured by pointing the scanner at the barcode and pressing a button - it's quick, easy and uncomplicated. The data is stored directly on the device. The data will not be visible for you!

We recommend Scan2Lead COLLECT if you are collecting data from visitors for whom you require little or no additional information. This is because it is not possible to enter notes on the lead or edit the data. To record additional information, you can define a simple visitor questionnaire in advance in the Scan2Lead PORTAL. For example, you can define different product categories that a visitor may be interested in or define follow-up activities. These so-called interest tags are encoded in barcodes and can also be scanned with the Scan2Lead COLLECT. This means that you first scan the visitor badge and then all interest tag barcodes that are relevant to the visitor.

Scan2Lead COLLECT is ideal for scanning visitors by hostesses, e.g. for participation in a competition. Or you can use the Scan2Lead COLLECT to scan all visitors attending a presentation on your stand area or watching a product demonstration. The serial number of the scanning device allows you to easily assign it to a person or a scanning station.

The Scan2Lead COLLECT can be passed on quickly and easily and is not tied to one person.

As the device works offline, the data must first be uploaded at the Scan2Lead service desk. They are then backed up and available online in your Scan2Lead PORTAL. We therefore recommend that you have the data read out once a day to avoid possible data loss, e.g. if the scanner is lost or stolen!

SCAN2LEAD STATION – BARCODE SCANNER FOR TRADE FAIRS

With Scan2Lead STATION, visitor data is captured with a wired scanner on a laptop.

The handheld scanner is connected to the laptop with a cable via the USB port. Scan2Lead STATION includes a licence for a web application that can be easily and conveniently accessed via the Internet browser (Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari) (www.station.scan2lead.com).

The hand scanner is used to scan the barcodes on the visitor tickets. The data entered by the visitor during registration is displayed directly on the screen. The data can then be edited and expanded.

Individual notes can also be entered for the lead. If you have previously defined your visitor questionnaire in the Scan2Lead PORTAL, you can systematically, quickly and easily add further information at the click of a mouse, e.g. on product interests, investment volume or follow-up activities.

A stable internet connection is essential for using the Scan2Lead STATION. You also need a laptop with a USB port. The rental fee for the wired handheld scanner is included in the Scan2Lead STATION package. If you do not have your own laptop, you can usually book a rental laptop directly from Scan2Lead. All captured data and information is stored online in real time in your Scan2Lead PORTAL.

The Scan2Lead STATION is a stationary, non-mobile solution. The wired scanner means you are tied to the laptop for contact capture. Scan2Lead STATION is particularly suitable for recording visitors at a central information counter or at the entrance to your stand area. Please note that the captured data is not synchronised between individual devices.

AN UNBEATABLE COMBINATION - USE DIFFERENT SCAN2LEAD PRODUCTS PARALLEL!

The Scan2Lead products can also be used in combination. All recorded data is stored in a shared online portal. There you can see exactly which contact was recorded by which device.

For example, use Scan2Lead SMART for your sales staff who want to hold in-depth discussions with visitors and record detailed information. Equip your stand hostesses with Scan2Lead COLLECT to collect visitor data, e.g. as part of a competition. With Scan2Lead STATION, staff at the stand counter can also record visitor data, e.g. if there is general interest in a product and no sales representative needs to be called in or is currently unavailable.

Please note that the recorded data cannot be synchronised or exchanged between the individual devices.
